This section covers the backgrond to the research program, the objectives and finally documentation of the various research activities undertaken.
The research program has been executed in collaboration with research organisations from Mozambique and Europe, including:
IIAM, the national agricultural research institute of Mozambique hosted a Jatropha variety trial at Sussundenga and several researchers participated in research activities and co-supervised students.
Universidade Eduardo Mondlane researchers participated in several research activities and UEM students undertook their thesis research at the FACT/ADPP Jatropha project.
University of Copenhagen, Institute of Geography took the lead in research on energy- and carbon-balance of the Jatropha cultivation systems.

Wageningen University have undertaken research at the project.
